Hello again, dear readers. This week has been a rather strange one for me – not bad strange simply different – but I have had a lovely amount of reading time, as well as a bit of time for prepping blog posts. Anyway, once again it is time to share my bi-monthly official tbr with you all. I have quite a few books that I have been looking forward to on this list and I am excited to be sharing them with you (again). 🙂
*As usual: Note that I have not read any of these books and therefore do not know if I would recommend them to you.
Results of April/May TBR

Did Not Finish: The Gilded Ones – Namina Forna
June/July Official TBR
The Secret Bridesmaid – Katy Birchall
A couple years ago, I read and greatly enjoyed Birchall’s middle-grade trilogy, The It Girl books. When I saw she was doing something new, I immediately added it to my tbr.
The summary for The Secret Bridesmaid sounds fun and light-hearted, in other words, the perfect summer read. Heres to hoping it lives up to my expectations. 🙂
King of Scars – Leigh Bardugo
After reading SoC, I was not terribly motivated to read more of Bardugo’s books – despite the fact I enjoyed the SoC duology – but after hearing good things about this book and its sequel, I couldn’t resist adding to my tbr. I’ll be giving it a try in the next few days so keep an eye for what I think of it. 🙂
Tokyo Ever After – Emiko Jean
Another total guilty pleasure read. I have the hardest time resisting any book that has to do with royalty, especially those using the whole shocker!-your-birth-family-is-royalty trope.
That said, I have read mixed reviews for this recent release so I do not have very high expectations.
Grace & Steel – J. Randy Taraborrelli
Truly this book is representative of a handful of non-fiction books I plan to read over the next couple months, but I wanted to add it anyway.
I have yet to read much about the Bush family so I thought this group biography would be a good place to start.

The Book of Lost Friends – Lisa Wingate
I just read and absolutely LOVED Before We Were Yours, so naturally this book went right on my tbr. I can’t wait to read this book!
Lethal Intent – Cara Putman
Cara Putman’s books are always detailed and enjoyable, I am looking forward to reading her latest release in the near future.
The Paris Dressmaker – Kristy Cambron
Kristy Cambron is probably my favorite author who I talk about the least, although I have mentioned this story before. Despite the fact that The Paris Dressmaker has been sitting on my book shelf for several months I have yet to read I, I suppose I have been saving it for a special occasion. 🙂
The Winemaker’s Wife – Kristin Harmel
After thoroughly enjoying a couple of Harmel’s other books, I am eagerly anticipating this interesting read. I will certainly be sharing my thoughts on this one!
What is a new addition to your tbr? Do any of these stories look interesting to you? Has your summer begun yet?
